Cygnets Art School Twickenham & Teddington

Cygnets Art School Twickenham and Cygnets Art School Teddington are excellent children’s art schools, with the Twickenham school based on the unique historic Eel Pie Island in a studio within Eel Pie Boatyard. The schools offer a range of term-time and holiday art classes for children aged 5-18yrs, with private tuition, at-home art classes and bespoke birthday parties also available for residents of Twickenham/Teddington and surrounding areas – as a travelling art school, the classes can come to you!

The classes are taught by experienced teachers, and use a step-by-step approach to cover a range of traditional skills such as drawing, painting and sculpture. The art materials used by students are of professional quality, and the projects for each class are unique, covering different themes every term, and referencing art history throughout.

The Cygnets Art Schools in Twickenham & Teddington are branches of the hugely successful Cygnets Art School that was founded in Kingston in 2015. A second school was opened in Richmond not long after the first, and in 2019 the school began franchising, allowing creatives across the UK to open their own Cygnets Art Schools.

The Cygnets Art Schools in Twickenham & Teddington are run by Molly Butt, artist and resident on Eel Pie Island. Molly studied Fine Art BA at Kingston University, and completed an MFA at Wimbledon College of Art in 2016. Having assisted Cygnets founders, Tabby and Hessy, with some of their regular classes, she was keen to pursue a career teaching art to kids alongside her own painting practice.

Molly is a skilled oil painter and exhibits regularly in London. Though painting is her main focus, drawing, sculpture and printmaking also play important roles in her work. Architecture and the natural world are her main sources of inspiration.

Regular classes take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays during term-time.
