Try Time Kids’ Rugby runs an outdoor rugby programme for children aged 2-7yrs. It is perfect if you fancy getting your little ones out and about to burn off some energy, have lots of fun, and learn some valuable, lifelong sporting skills. Classes run on Saturday mornings in Twickenham and Richmond.
The Try Time Kids’ Rugby team is passionate about getting children running around outside in the fresh air whatever the weather… being active, having loads of fun and learning valuable, lifelong skills. Each one-hour session is packed full of highly creative games that ensure every child is entertained and engaged the entire time – that’s also down to the fact that they have plenty of coaches who are full of energy and enthusiasm!
Founders Danielle, Chris and Jane started Try Time to help every child of any ability to learn to enjoy sport. Sport is great for a child’s physical health and it has a huge benefit for their mental health too. Kids rugby also teaches wonderful principles such as teamwork, respect, discipline and a bit of healthy competition. The kids charge about playing Dinosaur Hunter, Cheeky Pixies and Dodge the Dragon before stealing treasure, leaping over snake pits and racing against swamp monsters! There is a high ratio of coaches to children, so they rarely stand still, making it a really action-packed hour (with a snack break to refuel of course!). Under the current circumstances we find ourselves in, they have revised and trialled their format to maintain social distancing, keeping safety paramount and the fun factor HIGH! And being an outdoors class in the fresh air is an added benefit in these times.
