Step On Stage

Step On Stage

Step on StageStep On Stage Logo is a large independent school of performing arts based in Twickenham, Hampton Hill, and St Margarets. The school provides young people aged 3 to 21 with professional training in acting, music, musical theatre and dance. Some of the children want to pursue a career in the arts industry, but it’s also a great place for them to enjoy doing something they love, learning life skills such as confidence and self-esteem along the way.

Step On StageStep On Stage was founded in 2005 and now offers classes to over 300 students a week. Its success rests not only on its first class training, but also its fun and nurturing environment where pupils set their own goals and are then helped to achieve them. The teachers love what they do, and this passion is instilled in the children that they work with. As an independent school, Step On Stage is also not tied to set schemes of work so benefits from the flexibility of being able to tailor lesson plans to the children.

There are a wide variety of classes on offer:

  • – Acting classes offer the chance to explore script work, improvisation, directing, characterisation, mask work, physical theatre, prop and costume design, stage management, and more.
  • – Dance classes include ballet (including baby ballet), tap, modern, jazz, commercial, street dance, hip hop and contemporary.
  • – Music lessons include singing and music theory classes as well as individual piano lessons. Students learn to read music, and develop key musical and performance skills.
