As well as restoring wood to its former glory, Sarah Jane also works with the beautiful Annie Sloan chalk paints, which can give a brand new personality to a piece.

Sarah Jane Hemsley Furniture UpholsteryThe way Sarah Jane works is great for busy mums, as her approach is very bespoke and personal, based on home visits. Commissions begin with an obligation-free visit to your home to assess your piece (be it an armchair, dining chair, headboard, foot stool, chaise longue, or any other item that could do with a new lease of life) and chat about the options for restoration. As part of the service, she can advise on fabric choice as well as the extras such as braids and trims. This initial visit is followed up by a detailed quote listing any work required with the options previously discussed, and once the work is agreed she offers free collection and delivery.
