SIMMSport logoSIMMSport is a fun, high quality sports programme that delivers weekly coaching sessions and holiday camps to boys and girls aged 5 to 16 years old. Every young person who takes part in SIMMSport receives high quality coaching that will develop their physical and social skills within a dynamic and safe environment. The weekly sessions provided include athletics, football, gymnastics and rugby.

  • SIMMSAthletics: an athletics club for boys and girls aged 5 to 12 years. St Mary’s provides one of the best endurance running environments in the world and offers a unique experience for young people to train and compete on the same track as superstars such as Mo Farah and Usain Bolt.
  • SIMMSFootball: London’s top football academy, We Make Footballers has partnered with SIMMSport to offer world class football training to children of all abilities, helping every player become the best they can be.   • SIMMSplitz: a gymnastics club for boys and girls aged 5 to 12 years. The club introduces gymnast key skills in an Olympic equipped gymnasium. Activities include training and competition on bars, beams, vault, floor work, and trampolining.
  • SIMMSQuins: a mini and youth Rugby Union Club for boys and girls aged 5 -16 years delivered in collaboration with Harlequin Amateurs. It is a growing club that is rooted in the local community, with training, matches or tournaments every Sunday morning during the season.

During each school holiday SIMMSport also runs a range of holiday camps, including multi-sports and sport-specific camps, aimed at school children from the local community. The camps offer opportunities to be active, learn new sports and develop sporting skills in a fun and safe environment.

The coaching at SIMMSport is provided by students from St Mary’s, many of whom are studying sport and/or teaching degrees themselves. The programme gives the students a chance to develop their coaching skills and gain experience working with young people. They are passionate about what they do and bring great enthusiasm and positivity to motivate the young people they coach.
