rhythm time

rhythm timeRhythm Time provides award-winning multi-sensory music classes for newborns to pre-school children. They’re passionate about music and how it can help enhance your little one’s development. Rhythm Time will teach you how to make music fun for your child whilst unlocking their potential, by singing and making music together in developmental classes which have been designed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Rhythm Time’s founder and MD, Kathy Doolan, studied music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama in Glasgow. After having her first child she was excited to see how music and singing helped her baby’s speech and general development, so the Rhythm Time programme was born and today over 11,000 children enjoy it all around the UK.

rhythm timeRosie Gordon-Smith runs classes in the Twickenham area. Rosie’s love for music began at the age of four, and she went on to study music at the Welsh College of Music & Drama and has performed in the UK & Europe. She is passionate about education and has taught music for over 25 years now! Rosie can’t wait to meet you and your little one for some musical fun.

Rhythm Time’s signature young baby course is for babies under 6 months. In their first few months, babies’ main neural pathways are formed in their brain, so these 30-minute classes help to stimulate vision and hearing; promote deeper sleep; improve muscle tone, flexibility and circulation; introduce tummy time; plus LOTS more. You’ll also meet other lovely parents and their young babies.

rhythm timeWhen they get a bit older, the baby classes (2 months to pre-walking) will help language development (singing); eye tracking and balance (dancing); muscle development (exercise); bonding and relaxation (massage); hand/eye co-ordination and speech development (exploration); and social skills (meeting and sharing with their little friends). Included in your course fee is a Baby Book and Progress Ladder to help you on your way.

rhythm timeThe toddler course (walkers to 3 years) helps to build confidence, creativity and co-ordination. You will see your little one flourish as they explore different percussion sounds and develop a sense of pulse. They’ll learn to listen and concentrate, and will practise rhymes to develop speech. They’ll build self-expression through dance; as well as developing a musical ear, finding their singing voice and learning to sing in tune. Your toddler can also sing along to Rhythm Time’s fabulous songs at home with their special CDs (included with each toddler course).
