Nature Links Forest School

Nature Links Forest SchoolNature Links is a small, local company on a big mission to make the world a happier place. They provide award-winning forest school and outdoor learning sessions designed to connect you and your child with the nature on your doorstep.

At Nature Links they believe that children should be in natural surroundings and that learning through play is a critical part of young people’s development. That’s why they love the forest school approach, which raises self-esteem and confidence by providing opportunities for child-led play and discovery in nature. Their classroom has no walls, no doors and no limits. Everyone gets muddy, they look for worms, and have fun, but play is purposeful.

Nature Links Forest SchoolFounder, Heidi Magill, has over 13 years’ teaching experience and is qualified to support children with specialist needs. As well as being a Level 3 Forest School Leader, Heidi is an Early Years specialist, Makaton trained practitioner and a certified outdoor first-aider.

Nature Links currently offers two term-time types of sessions, but make sure you also look out for their holiday activities:

Nature LinksFamily Forest School – an outdoor play and learning group, inspired by the forest school approach, for children under five and their grown ups. The aim is to provide an opportunity for families to be active, spend time in nature, make new friends and enjoy new experiences together in their local area. Sessions take place at Crane Park, Twickenham TW2, and each week thee are outdoor play activities for you and your child to enjoy at a specially prepared site.

Nature Links Forest SchoolSilverhall After-School Club – forest school inspired fun at Silverhall Nature Park TW7 on Mondays after school. The child-led forest school approach to learning encourages children to connect with the natural world, encounter risk in a safe environment and develop their self-esteem and independence.

Although sessions have a theme each week, the team always encourages children to follow their own ideas and interests.
