Metafit is the 30 minute metabolic workout that’s perfect for busy mums!

metafit with nrg fitnessNicola Richardson is a physical training instructor and the force behind NRG Fitness, who offers group sessions and one-on-one personal training across South West London and beyond. Her Metafit classes are based on high intensity interval training (HIIT) which means you get an all-over workout in just 30 minutes.  This makes it particularly popular with busy mums who struggle to fit exercise into their weekly schedules.

Nicola currently offers 30-minute classes at the Sea Cadets Hall in Teddington for just £5.00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – with both early morning and evening classes available. You can get your first session FREE by quoting Twick Mums when booking.

If you have any concerns about ‘high intensity’ being too tough for beginners, then rest assured. Nicola will help you exercise at the right level and build up your strength sensibly – although you will be surprised at how quickly your endurance and ability improves with regular attendance.

metafit with nrg fitnessThe group sessions are great fun. Nicola works you hard, but always with a big smile and plenty of encouragement. The routines are very simple and effective – the workouts combine core strength exercises with cardio, and there aren’t any dance moves. The exercises vary each time but are likely to include short sprints, push ups, planks, burpees, squats and lunges.

Aside from being an efficient form of exercise, HIIT offers a number of benefits. It sends your metabolism into overdrive, meaning that you continue to burn calories long after the class has finished. It also gives you a full-body workout, toning arms, abs and legs in record time, and is great for building endurance.

metafit with nrg fitnessNicola’s Metafit classes take place at the Teddington Sea Cadets Hall, Fairways, Teddington TW11 9PL on the following days/times: Mondays at 6.30am, 9.30am & 8.30pm; Wednesdays at 6.30am & 9.30am; Thursdays at 8.30pm and Fridays at 6.30am. If you prefer one-on-one personal training, this takes place at your home at a time that suits. If you have small children, no problem! Many of Nicola’s customers have younger family members in tow and they often enjoy joining in with the sprints and jumps!
