Take Off with Mary Poppins this Summer!

Award-winning local theatre company, Dramacube, will be going ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ this summer as they take off with Mary Poppins for three-day musical-theatre workshops inspired by the classic Disney film.

Working with directors and choreographers, students aged 7-14yrs will learn scenes, songs and routines as they work towards a show. On day three of the workshop, the cast will take to the main stage at the theatre where they will participate in a technical and dress rehearsal before giving a performance under the lights – free for family and friends to enjoy.

DramacubeDramacube provide young actors with the opportunity to work in professional and purpose-built theatres with lighting, sound, costume and set, giving them a unique experience. Taking a performing arts class is hugely valuable, but nothing quite compares to being part of a production and embarking on that wonderful journey from creating your character to the opening performance.

Workshops take place from Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th July at Hampton Hill Theatre and Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th August at the Exchange Theatre, Twickenham. There will be a performance on the Friday at 3.15pm.

– All-day workshops (9.30am – 4.00pm)

– Acting, singing and dance

– Perform on stage under the lights this summer!

Dramacube’s three-day workshop productions are ideal for children who love to act, sing and dance and participate in musical theatre. These events are also a great opportunity for children to get a taste for what is involved with a full-scale production.

For further information and to book for this summer, please visit Dramacube’s website  or email contact@dramacube.co.uk. The workshop fee is £110.00 for all three days.

The holiday workshops will be followed by an autumn term production, which Dramacube has confirmed will be the classic Wizard of Oz.
